The McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey has received a new simulator.
The new motion simulator comes as Dynsima has been announced as the new Official Motion Simulator Partner for McLaren. The newly added simulator will be used in McLaren's advanced vehicle development programmes.
The Dynisma Motion Generators brings along benefits including low latency to set a new benchmark for an immersive, realistic, and responsive driving simulation experience. This is said to be a revolutionary approach to virtual road car development.
Dynisma will work hand in hand with McLaren personnel allowing McLaren to reap as many benefits as possible from the Dynisma technology. This opens doors for McLaren to virtually develop new supercars in a host of key areas, including vehicle dynamics and aerodynamics, propulsion systems, noise vibration and harshness, control systems and human machine interface, user experience and ergonomics.
It is said that this partnership reduces the need for physical prototypes due to the ultra-realistic experience that the simulators offer. In turn, an efficient, repeatable, sustainable, and closed environment is created. McLaren states that the new simulator will expedite its deployment of prototype vehicles and give its engineering teams more time to refine new vehicles and accelerate their development process.
